BRITNEY SPEARS!

Britney Spears is to reunite with the cast of How I Met Your Mother sometime in the near future. One of the next two Mondays, I believe. It's going to be something no one should miss. 

If I had TiVo, I would totally TiVo it. 

However, since I have no TiVo, I'm going to have to do some split-watching. Since How I Met Your Mother comes on at the same time as Gossip Girl on Mondays, it seems like .... it's a little difficult to do both at the same time. 

I can't wait till it comes on to semi-watch it though. I missed Brit's first performance on the show, I don't want to miss the second.

Writer's block is getting me down, so I'm stuffing my head with useless knowledge

I started reading Lucky, the fifth It Girl novel, and the latest one to come out. I only just began reading a few minutes ago, but I remember now why I enjoy them so much. It's not like it's been forever since I read the fourth installment: Unforgettable. 

There is going to be a sixth book, Tempted, but I'm not sure on it's release date. 

Jenny Humphrey is a very wholesome character. It seems that no matter how jaded the people around her are, she's still true to herself. I don't know. She grew up in NYC with people like Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen. How wholesome can she really be? 

And who else will be looking forward to the release of the newest edition of the Gossip Girl book series? The Carlyles? I think there's going to be a lot more scandal going on in NYC this school year. 

Speaking of scandal, Britney Spears was in a car accident this weekend while I was in her hometown. The 21-year-old driver she rear-ended said that he had been admiring the white Mercedes behind him, and the woman driving the car, not knowing that it was Spears driving. However, he surely did know it was her after she hit him from behind, causing a three car pile up. Way to go, Britney. Oh, and the reason for her collision? She was putting on her make up while driving. I'm not sure if it was on the highway or an interstate, but Britney shouldn't be driving and applying make up at the same time. I knew someone in high school that did that. I rode with her to school because she lived in my neighborhood. It scared the crap out of me sometimes, but we always got to school safely.

Tomorrow, I'm going to be receiving three Ernest Hemingway books. I haven't read anything by him before, so I feel like I'm branching out in some way. Well, I am an English major, so I should be well-read, right? I think I'm pretty well-read anyway, I just haven't read a lot of what people call the "classics" or "masterpieces." Who's to say what is good and what isn't? Well, I can't say I love everything I've ever read, because I know I loathe John Saul and probably everything he's ever written, even though I've only read one book by him. He seems like another Janet Evonovitch or Danielle Steel. Someone who puts out books every other month just so they can keep their names on the New York Times Bestseller List. 

Authors like that don't inspire me to write. They don't impress me either. It makes me wonder what kind of people actually read these books? (I do know some people who read John Saul though. My neighbor gave me one of his books once and I cringed at the thought of reading it.)

Now, if you want me to tell you some good books, people should read: Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides, The Secret History by Donna Tartt, or anything by John Irving. You know, even long novels are good too. Like Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. That book is like 933 pages long and it took me about a month to read it, but it was still a great story, even if it was partially biographical. And don't forget about Chuck Palahniuk. He's pretty awesome in the literary department, if I do say so, and there are a lot of people who think so too. 

Oh yes, two of Chuck's books will be put into film soon. Another Fight Club? I'm hoping so.

I can't think of a clever title, wait... Happy Hump Day

So right now I'm eating a boston creme pie yogurt. It's pretty good, considering I've never really had a real boston creme pie. I'm also watching Lost, which is something that makes me happy. 

I got season 3 from the library the other day, even though I put season 2 on hold first and I haven't watched it yet. Oh well, what's a girl to do when she needs something to entertain herself? I suppose I should add that I've already seen every episode of Lost, I just like to re-watch them. I've re-watched a lot of TV shows.

Those are just the ones I watched completely through to the end twice. Now, I have watched a few random seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. And random episodes of Gossip Girl. Watching TV is kind of a beautiful thing.

The Others have just invaded the boat that Sayid, Jin and Sun had stolen from them. Sun is the only one on the boat, while Sayid and Jin are on the beach, making a fire to lure in the Others. Very scary stuff, huh? I love this show. Just about as much as I love the show Veronica Mars. 

This weekend, I'll be traveling to the lovely Kentwood, Louisiana. Birthplace of Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears. We'll be eating at Britney's favorite family restaurant, I don't know the name of it, but it will be a lot of fun. Also, I think we'll be camping out in the country, drinking some beer and roasting marshmallows over an open fire. Or something. There will be a morning river trip and all sorts of things of that nature. 

Nature being the operative word here. We're going to get out of the hustle and bustle of city life, even if I don't live in a city anymore, I still feel .... burdened by this civilized life we all live. If only we could all live in tents and shower in waterfalls, harvest our own foods and whatnot. Live off the land, as they say, right? Or maybe we wouldn't shower at all.... haha, just kidding. 

If anyone out there still hasn't seen Lost, like my parents, you should see it immediately. Season 3 and 4 (the one on TV now) are probably the best seasons yet. However, the whole series is pretty epic, if you ask me. About as epic as Heroes season 1. 

Sawyer and Kate are my favorite couple on Lost. Even if they don't act like a couple most of the time, they're meant to be together. The island brought them together. Hahaha. It's something that would happen though... on this show. 

I'm also torn between what I want to do with my next college semester. Which college should I go to? USM or Ole Miss? I mean.... What should I do? M wants me to go with her to USM, but I already kind of told L, X and K that I would go to Ole Miss and live out the rest of my college career there. It's a very frustrating decision that I have to make, because I have to make that decision very soon. I have to apply for admission somewhere, right? I should be graduating next year, but I'm still only a sophomore. There are so many ways I could go. I could go with C to New Orleans and go to UNO, but my mother doesn't want me to go to NOLA. 

Whatever. It's too much to think about and I still haven't found a job yet. Too much on my mind makes me crazy, probably. Yes, I'm pretty sure it does.
